Women often feel insecure, guilty, ashamed and even secretive about the health/weight/body goals they have or WANT to have.
Women also experience SO MUCH fear and worry of judgement or rejection about health or weight related choices they make for themselves- particularly in social settings. (ie. when you're gonna be the only one NOT having a piece of cake. What will people think? yikes!)
The struggle is real.
Trust me. I've been there personally, and I've coached hundreds of clients on their very real fears of judgement and rejection (we coach on this almost weekly! never fails to come up. It's a classic.)

Here's the thing:
OUR HUMANS BRAINS ARE DESIGNED TO SEEK PLEASURE AND AVOID PAIN. (It's part of something called the Motivational Triad!)
In short, it makes TOTAL sense for us as humans to seek forms of 'Escapism'.
ESCAPISM is defined as a mental diversion within our daily life and /or an 'escape' from the day-to-day routine activities.
I can't tell you how many women I've coached who have told me that they don't know how to relax, and that their ONLY method of escapism involves food.
In this week's podcast episode, I teach you the importance of NOT judging yourself or ANY forms of escapism but instead, to simply understand your mind, your brain, your choices, actions and results so that you can do 'ESCAPISM' ON PURPOSE. (That's ultimately what matters.)
If you feel like food is your only means of escapism, I want to invite you to diversify your options...to explore other means of escapism on purpose that work for YOU.
It's essential that we teach our brain how to relax, unwind, decompress and have other means of escapism that FIT INTO YOUR LIFE; that contribute to your life in a way that works for you.

This episode serves as a PSA, because I need you to know one VERY important piece of information: Weight loss is NOT an emergency.
An emergency is defined as a serious, life-threatening and/or dangerous situation requiring immediate action.
If the thought of losing weight or any part of your weight loss process has you feeling fear, panic, anxiety, stress, overwhelm or worry, I want you to really, deeply KNOW this and never forget it.
WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY (again, louder for the people in the back!)
There are MANY reasons why it’s important NOT to view it as an emergency. One of them being, that when you do, this creates feelings of panic, fear, desperation, worry, anxiety, and inadequacy. & These feelings are not conducive to long-term, sustainable change.
These feelings typically make us wanna shut down or completely throw in the towel. These emotions are so much of what fuel what I like to call “F-it moments”. NOT USEFUL.
Instead, let’s retrain your brain to view weight loss SIMPLY AS A GOAL YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO HAVE.
That’s it. SO RADICALLY DIFFERENT. Game changer.
Once you let go of viewing weight loss as an emergency, and instead- simply see it as a goal you have CHOSEN to have (just because you want to!) you’ll be able to feel calm, cool, and collected ;) ...vs freaking the F*ck out! I get it. I’ve been there.
You’ll be able to stay checked IN with your body, your choices, your vision, your life.
You’ll be able to keep showing up to create the change you want to create.
