This week on the podcast I'm teaching you the important concept of: RADICAL SELF-TRUST.

‘More discipline’ NEVER WORKED for ANY of them (including me!).
Even after DECADES of attempts approaching the problem with discipline as ‘the solution’ - it never was.

There was only one way to figure out exactly what worked for ME (MY BODY, MY LIFE) and Radical Self Trust was THE THING that was required in this process (not ‘more discipline’).

Radical Self Trust is what finally allowed me (and SO many of my clients) to finally lose the weight I had been struggling to lose for decades -- truly -- on my own terms.

Women mistakenly think that what's required for losing weight (especially the last 10 pounds!) is discipline and restriction - I STRONGLY DISAGREE.

If you want to lose this weight AND be done feeling like you’re in a constant battle with your body and with food, what's actually needed is:

Radical Self Honesty and Radical Self Trust.

More specifically…

What will be necessary is the skill of intentional decision making via Radical Self Honesty and Radical Self Trust.

{And btw- this is true NO MATTER your chosen food approach}

Really hear me on this, because it will change everything for you.

If you want to create transformation in BOTH your measurable results (i.e. the pounds you want to lose) AND in your qualitative experience (the way you experience food-related decision-making and HOW you feel in your body)...

→ You will have to be RADICALLY HONEST with yourself about what you’re doing that isn’t working.

And you’ll have to do this (*radical self-honesty) ALL THE WAY until you’ve created exactly the results you’re wanting.

What that I teach on the podcast (and that my clients learn in depth, step-by-step inside my Last 10 Program) is not about succumbing to external societal standards-

ALL OF IT IS SELF-DEFINED.

Meaning…

YOU get to decide what your goal is.

YOU get to decide the things you want to change.

YOU get to decide when you’ve arrived at your goal.

This is NOT about what society ‘thinks’ your results should be. (eff all that!)This is NOT about  any other human or their opinion about your behavior/choices/goals.

This is ALL ABOUT YOU.

You’ve decided on your exact goal.

And now in order to create this for yourself, you’ll have to be RADICALLY HONEST WITH YOURSELF ABOUT WHAT'S JUST NOT WORKING.

[If you struggle with emotional eating and any kind of overeating or sabotage.
PUT THIS EPISODE ON REPLAY, save it, add it to your favorites. ]

It's really  important that we do not vilify emotional eating.

INSTEAD:
*IF *  you decide that you want to change some of your eating/emotional eating habits, your focus must shift to understanding your behaviors (vs. judging them).

Once you UNDERSTAND your behaviors, you can DECIDE TO CHANGE your decision-making (ie. emotional eating) * IF *  you want to.

(...and to whatever degree that YOU want to!)

Notice the choice. NOTICE THE NEUTRALITY.

The way to empower and transform this area of your life (food/weight/body) is to recognize the choice and neutrality in ALL of it.

Once you integrate and apply this teaching of NEUTRALITY to any of your existing emotional eating habits -- this ONE shift in your approach -- will completely revolutionize your weight loss experience AND YOUR RESULTS.

I recently turned 40.

Historically speaking, my birthday is always a time of reflection.

This year as I entered my 40's - the birthday reflections were on STEROIDS.

In the midst of ALLLL my reflecting, there was a very specific and VERY POWERFUL message just for YOU. :sparkles:

For decades of my life...
I was too afraid to be FULLY myself. I would do anything (and eat anything!) as long as I would go unnoticed.
I would camouflage to anyone's liking. Modify myself to fit the 'part' or fit in.
ESPECIALLY when it came to food and weight. People's opinions and 'rule following' were my prison.
I stifled myself to try to fit into the 'acceptable' boxes I believed I was supposed to fit nicely into...
AND because I felt inherently flawed - emotionally eating at the end of the day (in those moments when I was finally by myself) felt like my ONLY escape.

NOW...
I make the decisions based on what I want for my life (*MY VISION) and what I KNOW works for ME (*True Choice)
I love being me. ALL of me. So there's no need to emotionally eat about this, because I am living the life I want to live and being who I want to be.
I'm a thought leader. A trailblazer. I'll go first. I'll be different. I'm not afraid to be seen and noticed.
AND I refuse to shove any part of me that I LOVE (and have intentionally become) into a box for anybody. NOBODY.
There's no price I wouldn't pay for THIS level of confidence and freedom that I get to live my life with NOW.

HERE'S WHY THIS MATTERS FOR YOU & YOUR GOALS:
So many of you are...

  • Afraid to lose weight if you want to, because of what other people might think.
  • Hesitant, ashamed, embarrassed, or even nervous to claim that weight loss is something you want (*especially the very specific goal that you have in mind for yourself, even though it's really important to you and you think about it all the time)
  • Playing down the goals that are MOST important to you (weight related or not) even though YOU KNOW it’s exactly what you want.
  • Feel paralyzed about saying 'no' to things --> and then say 'yes' to these same things purely out of obligation. Even at your own expense.

Not OWNING WHO YOU ARE and WANT YOU WANT (*literally) gets in the way of YOU LIVING THE LIFE YOU WANT.Centering someone else's opinion about you more than YOUR OWN OPINION ABOUT YOU will always keep you from SHOWING UP -  ALL OUT - to create the life you want.You're not gonna wanna miss this one.{added note: there's something a bit cosmic + magical about the words I have for you in this particular episode.
