“Before working with Brenda- my relationship with food was in emergency mode. I felt out of control and didn’t know what to do because I had tried literally EVERYTHING (hypnosis, other food coaches, weight watchers, meal prep plans, multiple over the counter pills and supplements, 2 years of psychotherapy, read every article on the internet, etc AND I’m a doctor so I probably have an even greater base of knowledge about weight loss than a non medical professional).

I literally was eating DAY OLD pizza out of the trash can and was taking a prescription diet pill from a weight loss doctor that made me feel like I was on speed and I wasn’t able to get more than 1 hour of sleep a night.

Things are now 180 different. I feel calm, confident, and the weight came off slowly and surely. And the best thing is that I’m not worried I’m ever going to go back to how it was before because I am now armed with all the skills I need to manage this the rest of my life.

A REQUIRED SKILL FOR WEIGHT LOSS: delayed gratification.

The ability to simply: WAIT. You MUST be able to choose what you want in the long run (your desired weight loss results!) vs what you want right now (... that cookie, the wine, the chips, the trail mix..)

If you haven’t been able to create the level of weight loss results you want, that’s because you haven’t developed THE SKILL OF WAITING. The ART OF DELAY.

It sounds simple, but it’s one of the skills that most women struggle with and keep them stuck with results and habits they don’t actually want.

Do you feel like some days you're really committed to your goal, then others days you really feel like you just DON'T CARE.

Or you're over 'it' and don't WANT to care because you rather enjoy eating whatever you want and enjoying the moment. For MANY women, this looks like feeling really committed in the EARLY part of the day, and just feeling like it's NOT that important in the EVENINGS- when they want to enjoy a glass of wine or a 'treat' to relax and unwind.

Very often, there's also the pattern and/or cycle of feeling REALLY MOTIVATED on the weekdays, and then on the weekends thinking things like "It's fine" ... "It's not that important"... "I just don't care right now" .... "I look pretty good anyway" ... "it just feels like too much work" ... "oh, who really cares anyway"...

The reason 'diets' don't work is not because they don't work, it's because we don't actually follow them & don't know HOW to follow through on decisions and plans we've made for ourselves. Finding a great 'plan' for weight loss online is not a problem anymore these days because we have so much information at our disposal with the internet.

The problem is that even if you have a beautiful meal plan laid out in front of you, and even if you already know what to do- you find yourself still overeating (especially at night or on the weekends or when you're stressed!) and eating things that are NOT a part of your plan.

Losing the stubborn weight and ending your frustrating struggle with food and weight is NOT impossible.
Simply, you are missing the necessary tools.


It's necessary to not just lose weight by resisting your favorite foods but to completely give your relationship with weight loss and food a makeover.
